I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and enjoy working with individuals, couples, families and children to improve family relationships, improve wellness and promote healing and joy. When working with children I use play therapy, art therapy and sand tray therapy techniques to help them communicate and to heal and grow. I help children who are dealing with trauma, abuse, ADHD, anxiety or behavioral problems. When working with teens, I focus on building a strong and safe therapeutic relationship to help increase therapy effectiveness and promote growth.
I work with couples by focusing on communication problems, stress, parenting conflicts, intimacy problems and infidelity. In addition, I am authorized by the California Office of Problem Gambling to treat individuals and families affected by problem gambling.
I have over 10 years experience in counseling and I’m a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). I graduated from Brigham Young University-Hawaii in Clinical Psychology (Magna Cum Laude) and received my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the Professional School of Psychology. Additionally, I am independently licensed by the State of California to treat problem gambling and addiction.
